Bangladesh Breastfeeding Foundation
BBF is a part of IBFAN, working to monitor and enforce compliance with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes in Bangladesh. BBF also serves as the IBFAN South Asia Coordinator and is a member of the IBFAN Global Council, contributing to global efforts to protect breastfeeding and ensure ethical practices in the promotion of infant nutrition.
BBF aligns with WABA’s mission to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding worldwide through awareness campaigns, including World Breastfeeding Week.
BBF collaborates with UNICEF on programs related to breastfeeding, maternal and child health, and complementary feeding.
BBF adopts WHO’s standards and guidelines in its national efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes, particularly through the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) and breastfeeding advocacy.
BBF works with these global organizations to provide training, research, and guidance on breastfeeding practices.
