Activity-3 Improvement of maternal and child nutrition through formation of MSGs at community level

According to the National IYCF Strategy 8 community based support, BBF is forming Mother Support Groups (MSGs) to improve maternal and child nutrition at community level. MSG members are giving nutrition counseling to   mothers and caregivers in their respective community. In 4th Health Population and Nutrition Sector Program (HPNSP) MSG activity is included as a part of priority component. BBF organized orientation with UH&FPOs, CHCPs & other govt. and non govt. high officials about importance and activities of MSG and organized orientation with community people (lactating & pregnant mother, care givers, adolescents) by the support of NNS. BBF organizes training for MSG members and arranges court yards through MSG members by the support of Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, MOHFW.
