[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

The BFHI is a global program that was launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nation Childrenโ€™s Fund (UNICEF) in 1991 to encourage and recognize hospitals and maternity centers that o๏ฌ€er an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother and baby bonding. Since 1992 to 2011, 74 percent (499 out of 670) hospitals were certified and designatedย ย  asย  โ€˜Baby-Friendlyโ€™.ย ย  Sinceย ย  then, National Nutrition Services (NNS), IPHN initiated revitalization of BFHI in 2012 where BBF wasย ย  the implementing organization.

BBF has trained up di๏ฌ€erent government and non-government health facilities (medical college hospitals, tertiary hospitals, district hospitals, MCWC, UHC and private hospitals) by the support of National Nutrition Services (NNS).
